One of the biggest issues that parents bring up when traveling with a baby is the crying. Most babies don’t like to be in the car and will just cry the whole. However, there ways around this. First of all, you need to leave at the right time. Wait until the toddler falls asleep for a nap where you know she’ll be out for at least a few hours. The baby will wake up eventually and notice the change in scenario; this is why you must packs lots of toys to keep her distracted!

Of course her safety is a serious aspect that you will have to keep in the forefront of your mind at all times. When you’re driving, you need make sure that the baby is strapped into her seat. But that’s not all, make sure the seat itself is strapped into the seat of the car as well. Many accidents happen when the car has to hit the breaks and the baby stay fastened to the toddler seat, but the toddler seat will jump out of the car seat. While most toddler seats are cushioned enough to avoid any serious injury, the least you’ll get is a disrupted and crying toddler. Sometimes buckles come loose as well, so make sure someone is setting next to her at all times in case something like that were to happen.

So what happens when you have arrived at your destination? The car ride is one task, but actually being on the go is another. A portable crib is absolute must and will definitely make your experience much better if it’s a nice portable crib. Some things to look for in a nice portable crib is that is travels compactly and doesn’t take up too much space, but also that it is easy to clean up and disassemble. This goes for every crib too, even convertible cribs that you might have in your house.
