Quotes Inspired by True Love and Loss

One of the hardest things to experience in life is loss. Some of the most traumatic experiences you’ll ever come across will be when someone close to has their life stolen away from them. No matter how much we mentally prepare for such a thing, it always finds a way to pierce our hearts and make them bleed. Death is a very weird thing. It occurs all around us and is a very natural part of life; life can not exist without death unfortunately. But it’s when death happens close to us that we resent it and hate it for everything that it is. Why do people have to die? Who makes that decision? You might find yourself asking yourself these questions when/if someone close to you is taken. “We understand death only after it has placed its hands on someone we love” – Anne L. de Stael

The only thing you can do is grieve, and eventually come through. It’s said that we all have our own way of grieving. Some people hide it and run away from facing the horrific truth that someone close to them is gone, and they hope that the pain that comes with such an event will just forget about them and go somewhere else, but this is rarely the case. The best way to deal with grief is to take it head on. Get the pain out of the way, get the suffering done with, and then move on. Once you have experienced enough of it, you will know that it’s time to lift your chin up and continue on with the world. Be sure to seek out sympathy from others. It’s during hard times like these that you might want to block everyone else out because they are not experiencing your pain, but either they have before, or they will, so make sure you let people in. Take their kind words, remember them, and keep fighting. “Though sympathy alone can’t alter facts, it can help make them more bearable” – Bram Stoker

On the complete side of the spectrum is the feeling of love. When someone close to you is taken away, you feel the extreme far side of emotion, but when you realize your love for someone dear to your heart, and that same person shares the same love for you, you experience the extreme other side of the emotional spectrum. Some people don’t believe in soulmates, but it’s said that not everyone has a soulmate. I believe that are a lucky few who find the person their meant to be with, and that feeling is felt right away. Other times, you have to work for it, you have to search for the right one; even then, there is a lot of work to be done to ensure a tight relationship. Sometimes, one person might not believe in the idea of soulmates, but the other party does. If this is the case then this quote is for you: “I want to be your soulmate, even if I don’t believe in them” – Colleen Hoover.
